UNDERSTANDING OUR FUEL SURCHARGE CALCULATION:

Dear Lower Mainland Fast Freight Customers, We aim to be transparent about our pricing, especially when it comes to our fuel surcharge. Below, we explain how we calculate the FSC as per the Vince Ready Agreement.

Calculation Process:

The Fuel Surcharge is based on the pump price of diesel fuel over the previous month, as outlined in the Vince Ready Agreement. Here's how it works:

Baseline Price: The trigger point for implementing the Fuel Surcharge is $1.05 per liter including taxes for Vancouver retail diesel. 

Surcharge Rate: For every full nickel ($0.05) above the $1.05 per liter benchmark, a 2% fuel surcharge is applied. 

We monitor diesel fuel prices monthly, with data sourced from Kalibrate.

Example Calculation:

If the average diesel price for a given month is $1.15 per liter:

• This is $0.10 above the $1.05 baseline
• Therefore, the corresponding fuel surcharge would be 4%
